Today Gracie interviewed for her very first job at a local flower shop and she got the job.  Proud of you princess!

Jake's last year of school - he's a SENIOR.  Gracie's a FRESHMAN....first day in high school!

Hard to believe my baby boy is 17. . .

Jake has had an amazing year!  He has a job, he got his license, his dad got him a car, he's going to be a high school senior AND HE LOST 80 POUNDS!  I'm so proud of him!

It's hard to believe this handsome young man is now 17.  So many changes the past year - losing 100 pounds, learner's permit, driver's license, senior in high school, working, new car - just to name a few things!

Getting Ready for Gracie's Very First School Dance (Semi-Formal) (8th Grade)

This was my first time shopping for a dress/shoes for Grace and what a process it has been.  We've been to over 10 stores and finally found a dress/shoes at Burlington!  Thank GOD! She picked everything out all on her own and I think she did a great job. The dress looks lovely on her and she did a great job matching the shoes, too.  I was just here to pay for it LOL.

Growing Up Way Too Fast. . .

My blue-eyed beauty is growing up way too fast.  The transformation the past six months has been amazing and a joy to watch.  The school year is close to an end and she will soon be entering high school.  Gosh...I'd give anything to have her 4 years old again!  She made second honors on her report card so we celebrated with mani/pedi time this weekend. She wanted to try acrylic nails instead of the traditional manicure so I gave in and let her get them. This evening we celebrate Gracie's Confirmation.  For those of you who do not know what it means to be confirmed, it is one of the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church (the other two being Baptism and First Holy Communion).  In the sacrament of Confirmation, the faithful are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and are strengthened in their Christian life. I love you Grace-Girl and I'm so proud to call you my daughter!
