Disney on Ice-Follow Your Heart - October 14, 2016

Deepwater Horizon

I went to the movies on Saturday with Bill and Gracie to see Deepwater Horizon - excellent movie!

A little history:  On April 20, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explodes in the Gulf of Mexico, igniting a massive fireball that kills several crew members. Chief electronics technician Mike Williams (Mark Wahlberg) and his colleagues find themselves fighting for survival as the heat and the flames become stifling and overwhelming.  Banding together, the co-workers must use their wits to make it out alive amid all the chaos.

Hershey Bears v. Wilkes-Barre

Sunday, October 9th was hockey night!  Me, Kim and her daughter (Lexi) and hubby (Steve) went to see a Bears game at the Giant Center (Hershey, PA).  Bears looked like crap and lost the game 3-1. Below are a few pics of the gals taking pics.

First Day of School

It's time for BRACES!

What a process this has been, inserts, an expander and today Gracie finally got her top braces (bottom braces come later on). We were supposed to get them next week but since school starts on Monday we scheduled it for today so she has a few days to get used to them.  Apparently you can pick what colors you would like your braces to be so Gracie decided to go with pink/blue. Below are before/after pics.

New beginnings for Georgie

Georgie has officially moved home from Ohio. He transferred from the Ohio Sam's Club store to the Mechanicsburg, PA store.  Last weekend  he was home for a few days and we got to meet his girlfriend, Nicole.  Very nice girl and it looks like they both 

have something very special....makes me happy!

A Night at the Coliseum

With the miserable heat this weekend I figured it would be best to do some indoor activities but we ventured out to the Lisburn Fair first and that did not go over too well with the kids. We walked around for about 15 minutes and they were ready to go. It wasn't quite what they though it was going to be - I can't say I blame them either.  So...we decided on The Coliseum Megaplex (can't go wrong with arcade games with my kids).  The kids had a great time and I had a great time watching them and I even managed to play a few games, too. Both kids hit jackpots (1000 tickets each).  I think when all was said and done they had approximately 2800 tickets so they decided to save them to get a big prize once they accumulate a lot more tickets. Sun Going Down

Altoona, PA - up in the mountains (Buckhorn) all is quiet and the sun is going down so I had to get pics - they didn't come out anything the way the sky looked - it was breathtaking at the moment though...so I wanted to capture it.  This was over 4th of July weekend - it was a nice weekend away from home.

Kids Celebrating Their Dad's Birthday - July 10, 2016

George's birthday (47 years old) was Jun 29th and Gracie was in Altoona visiting with her grandparents so we waited till she got home to celebrate his birthday.  Gracie made her dad lasagna and a birthday cake and all I did was supervise.  The kids got him Dunkin Donut k-cups for his new coffee maker, Dunkin Donuts creamer and a Steelers Travel Mug.
