A Night at the Coliseum

With the miserable heat this weekend I figured it would be best to do some indoor activities but we ventured out to the Lisburn Fair first and that did not go over too well with the kids. We walked around for about 15 minutes and they were ready to go. It wasn't quite what they though it was going to be - I can't say I blame them either.  So...we decided on The Coliseum Megaplex (can't go wrong with arcade games with my kids).  The kids had a great time and I had a great time watching them and I even managed to play a few games, too. Both kids hit jackpots (1000 tickets each).  I think when all was said and done they had approximately 2800 tickets so they decided to save them to get a big prize once they accumulate a lot more tickets. Below are some pics I took.

Gracie....still my little girl...

Yes, she just turned 12, yes, she's growing up fast, yes, she has gone through a lot of changes this past year, yes, she still plays with her dolls, yes, she's still my little girl!

Sun Going Down

Altoona, PA - up in the mountains (Buckhorn) all is quiet and the sun is going down so I had to get pics - they didn't come out anything the way the sky looked - it was breathtaking at the moment though...so I wanted to capture it.  This was over 4th of July weekend - it was a nice weekend away from home.

Kids Celebrating Their Dad's Birthday - July 10, 2016

George's birthday (47 years old) was Jun 29th and Gracie was in Altoona visiting with her grandparents so we waited till she got home to celebrate his birthday.  Gracie made her dad lasagna and a birthday cake and all I did was supervise.  The kids got him Dunkin Donut k-cups for his new coffee maker, Dunkin Donuts creamer and a Steelers Travel Mug.

Saturday, July 9, 2016 - Trip to Plymouth, PA

After going to the zoo with the kids me and Gracie took a road trip to Plymouth, PA (about 1.5 hours) to visit my best friend Stacy-Ann.  She's from Long Island but was in PA for her son's lacrosse tournament.  We only stayed a few short hours, but it was well worth the trip to see Stacy...it's been a few years since I've seen her and I miss her terribly.  Below are a few pics of me and Gracie clowning around in the hotel room. Wish I got some pics of us with Stacy :(

Lake Tobias - Saturday, July 9, 2016

I took Jake and Gracie up to Lake Tobias. It's something we did on several occasion when they were younger and I thought it would be nice to pay a visit to the zoo since the weather was nice and the road trip is pretty and only takes about 30 minutes.  I must say that visiting the zoo is very cheap.  The safari ride and zoo were $13 per person. I got in free cause I am a veteran.  If you prefer just to do the safari ride it's $7.00 or just the zoo is $6.00 (I believe you can even get coupons online) and you can pack a lunch and make a day of it.  Below are some pictures:

Gracie's New Dooo

Gracie needed her hair long for pig-tails for her dance recital. The day after the recital we went and had it all cut off - she loves it!
